Search without a prefix

When searching without a prefix, any of the search terms must be found in the search result for the search to succeed. If more than two search terms are entered, this will be considered as "AND" between the two first words and "OR" between the following.

TUBE Displays records containing the word tube

ROUND TUBE Displays records containing the words Round and Tube

TUBE SQUARE RECTANGULAR Displays records containing the words Tube and Square or Rectangular

 

Search with quotation marks

When using quotation marks, you will search for words in the specified order.

"ROUND TUBE" Displays records containing the string Round Tube in the specified order.

 

Search using plus signs

The plus sign works like "AND".

+TUBE Displays records containing the word Tube.

 

Search using minus signs

The minus sign works like "NOT".

-TUBE Displays records not containing the word Tube

 

Search using wildcards (?,*)

? replaces a character

* replaces a sequence of characters

STE?L Matches Steel or Steal

ST*L Matches Steel or Still 

 

Upper- or lower case letters

The search is not case sensitive
